IPROCEL participated in the commissioning of the solar thermal plants Manchasol I and II, located in the municipality of Alcázar de San Juan, Ciudad Real. Each plant has an installed capacity of 50 MW, for a total of 100 MW. These facilities, promoted by the Cobra Group and Initec, became the largest solar thermal complex in the region, the third largest in Europe and the fourth largest in the world with thermal storage technology. The scope of the work carried out was:
- Supervision and coordination of the commissioning activities of energy generation, storage and evacuation systems.
- Verification of the integration of the control and protection systems with the SCADA system.
- Management of functional and operational tests to ensure compliance with technical and safety requirements.
- Support in the training of operational personnel and in the preparation of the technical documentation necessary for the operation and maintenance of the plants.
This project reflects IPROCEL's ability to adapt to the needs of the energy market, participating in the commissioning of solar thermal plants both in Spain and internationally.
