IPROCEL participated in the commissioning of the Fort Saint James biomass plant, a 40 MW facility located in the province of British Columbia, Canada, developed together with Iberdrola. This project is one of the two biomass plants in which IPROCEL collaborated in that country during that period, consolidating its experience in the conventional generation sector in North America.
The scope of commissioning works included:
- Coordination and supervision of functional testing of electrical and control systems.
- Verification of the correct start-up and operation of critical equipment such as boilers, turbines and gas treatment systems.
- Validation of the integration of safety and security systems adapted to the particularities of biomass combustion.
- Technical assistance for the optimisation of operational parameters, guaranteeing the efficiency and stability of the system during the initial phase.
With this experience, IPROCEL strengthened its position as a provider of specialised technical services in conventional power plants, adding value to sustainable projects in international markets.
