The Yahe Kou Thermal Power Plant, located in China and with an installed capacity of 750 MW, was IPROCEL's first project in the Asian giant. Executed in collaboration with Babcock & Wilcox, this milestone was a decisive step in the company's internationalisation process. From its early stages, IPROCEL demonstrated its global vocation and its willingness to deploy its technical expertise wherever it was needed.
The scope of commissioning works included:
- Functional testing and verification of electrical equipment, instrumentation and control systems.
- Coordination of boiler and turbine system tests for subsequent start-up.
- Verification of protections and communications in medium and high voltage systems.
- Supervision of the synchronisation processes and initial operation of the plant.
This project was an early demonstration of IPROCEL's commitment to the development of large thermal generation facilities in technically and culturally diverse environments, marking the beginning of an international trajectory that has continued to expand ever since.
