IPROCEL participated in the commissioning of the Santo Antônio dos Lopes 500/230 kV electrical substation in Brazil, a key infrastructure linked to the Parnaíba thermoelectric complex. This substation, which uses AIS technology, is part of the transmission system that connects energy production to the country's National Interconnected System (SIN).
The scope of work included:
- Verification and validation of high voltage electrical systems, including 500 kV and 230 kV AIS circuit breakers.
- Functional testing of associated protection, control and measurement systems.
- Synchronisation tests and commissioning of power transformers and capacitor banks.
- Protection coordination tests and final adjustments in automation and telecontrol systems to ensure optimal integration with the power grid.
This project consolidated IPROCEL's experience in the field of electricity transmission in international markets, reinforcing its capacity to execute projects of high technical complexity in demanding environments.
