IPROCEL participated in the commissioning of the San Javier 220/66 kV electrical substation in Chile, associated with the 475 MW QUICKSTART multi-site gas engine power plant in Constitución. This substation, with AIS technology, is part of the transmission system that connects the energy production to the National Electric System (SEN) of the country.
The scope of work included:
- Electromechanical assembly of high voltage equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers and protection systems.
- Wiring and connection of control, protection and automation systems.
- Commissioning tests of equipment and systems, including insulation, contact resistance and protection tests.
- Integration of the substation into the SEN control and monitoring system.
- Verification of the coordination of protections and final adjustments in automation and telecontrol systems.
With this project IPROCEL continued to grow in the Chilean market and continued to perfect its technical expertise in the electromechanical assembly and commissioning of electrical substations.
