Transmission and Distribution

The transmission and distribution of electricity are the key stages in bringing electricity from generation centres to the final consumption points, be they homes, industries or urban infrastructures. The transmission is realised through high-voltage power lines that transport large volumes of energy over long distances, while the distribution reduces that voltage to make it accessible and safe in residential and commercial environments. This complex system requires precise planning, robust infrastructures and advanced technologies to ensure efficient, continuous and quality supply. Current challenges include digitisation of grids, integration of decentralised renewables and improving resilience to weather events or technical failures.

Onshore Substations

At IPROCEL we have a solid track record in the development of ground substations, where we have provided design, detailed engineering, commissioning and maintenance services, tackling projects in a wide range of voltages, from 20 kV to 500 kV. Our experience covers both AIS and GIS technologies, adapting to the technical and regulatory particularities of each environment.

We have collaborated with major national and international clients, executing Full EPC projects in countries such as Spain, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. This capacity has allowed us to consolidate our position as a technical partner of reference, providing comprehensive and reliable solutions in key infrastructures for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy.

Offshore
Substations

IPROCEL has participated in three important offshore substations linked to offshore wind farms: Vineyard (220/66 kV - USA), Baltic Eagle (220/66 kV - Germany) and Saint Brieuc (220/66 kV - France), providing commissioning and commissioning supervision services. This experience has allowed us to develop a specialised technical knowledge in offshore environments, where precision, safety and operational coordination are essential, and IPROCEL is still working to continue collaborating in international offshore wind projects.

HV/MV lines

IPROCEL has contributed to the development of high and medium voltage evacuation lines, both overhead and underground, integrating solutions that ensure efficient and safe transmission of energy from generation centres to grid connection points.

Our intervention includes engineering services, project management, site supervision and commissioning, adapting to the topographical and environmental particularities of each route. This capacity for adaptation allows us to accompany our clients in projects that require agility, technical rigour and regulatory compliance.

Transformer Substations

Transformer substations are an essential link in the energy distribution chain. At IPROCEL we have participated in the design, installation and commissioning of multiple transformer substations, providing solutions aimed at optimising performance and operational safety.

Our experience covers both conventional transformer stations and specific installations for renewables or industry, consolidating us as a technical supplier capable of providing value from engineering to maintenance.
