Salem Harbor Combined Cycle Power Plant

Scope of the project

The 675 MW Salem Harbor Combined Cycle Power Plant, located in Massachusetts (United States), represents one of the most relevant projects in the North American energy market. For IPROCEL, it was a key reference in one of its international markets with greater projection and volume of activity, consolidating its role as a specialised supplier in commissioning for conventional generation.
The scope of work included:
- Validation of high and medium voltage electrical systems, including protections and automatisms.
- Operational testing of the gas turbine, recovery boiler (HRSG) and steam turbine.
- Distributed Control System (DCS) configuration and integration.
- Technical support during start-up, synchronisation and load testing.
IPROCEL's participation in Salem Harbor reaffirmed its technical and operational capacity in large-scale projects in the highly demanding US market.
