IPROCEL has carried out the electromechanical assembly and commissioning of the 100 MW Solara 4 photovoltaic plant, located in the Algarve, in southern Portugal. This installation was, at the time, the largest solar plant in operation in the country, and forms part of the national strategy for the promotion of renewable energies and the reduction of emissions.
The scope of work has included:
- Assembly of medium-voltage main structures and equipment.
- Wiring of electrical, control and communications systems.
- Functional testing, coordination of protections and verification of the automation system.
- Technical supervision in the field and support during the commissioning process.
Portugal represents a strategic market for IPROCEL, both for its projection in renewable energies and for its integration in the peninsular area. Solara 4 has been the first renewable project in which we have had the opportunity to participate in the country, and represents the beginning of a line of activity that we will continue to develop in the coming years.
