IPROCEL provided engineering and commissioning services at the Pengerang petrochemical plant, one of the largest industrial facilities in Southeast Asia, developed by Técnicas Reunidas in the state of Johor, Malaysia. The complex is part of the RAPID (Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development) energy mega-park, promoted by the state-owned Petronas group, with an integrated approach to refining and petrochemical production.
The scope of work has included:
- Review and adaptation of electrical engineering and instrumentation to local regulations and customer requirements.
- Supervision of the installation of power systems, motor control centres (MCC) and control networks.
- Coordination of functional testing and commissioning of electrical and automation systems.
- Technical integration of third party packages into the main control and operation systems.
With this project, IPROCEL consolidated its presence in Asia and strengthened its international expertise in complex and technically demanding industrial environments.
