IPROCEL participated in the development of the Petrokemya petrochemical plant, located in Saudi Arabia, providing engineering and commissioning services for Técnicas Reunidas, the main contractor for the project. This facility is part of a strategic industrial complex in the Gulf region, aimed at the production of petrochemical derivatives with high added value.
The scope of work has included:
- Elaboration of procedures and technical specifications for the plant's electrical systems and instrumentation.
- Development of detailed engineering for the integration of critical equipment in ATEX environments and continuous processes.
- Management and supervision of pre-operational tests on electrical, control and automation systems.
- Coordination of the start-up of interdependent subsystems, ensuring the correct start-up sequence and the final operability of the complex.
- Specialised technical support in the commissioning of installations with explosive atmospheres, guaranteeing compliance with international regulations.
With this project, IPROCEL strengthened its presence in Saudi Arabia and consolidated its experience in the petrochemical sector, characterised by a high technical component, strict safety standards and complex operational requirements. The Petrokemya plant was one of the four large-scale industrial facilities in which IPROCEL participated in the country, demonstrating its ability to adapt to strategic markets and highly specialised technological environments.
