IPROCEL participated in the commissioning of the solar thermal plant Noor 3, located in Ouarzazate, Morocco, with an installed capacity of 200 MW. This plant is part of the Noor complex, one of the most ambitious solar energy projects in Africa, developed by the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (MASEN).
The scope of IPROCEL's work on this project is:
- Coordination and supervision of the commissioning activities of energy generation, storage and evacuation systems.
- Verification of the correct integration of the control and protection systems with the SCADA system.
- Performance and monitoring of functional and operational tests to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Support in the training of operating personnel and in the preparation of the technical documentation necessary for the operation and maintenance of the plant.
The Noor 3 plant, together with the previous phases of the complex, contributes significantly to the generation of clean energy in Morocco, avoiding the emission of more than 130,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year and supplying electricity to more than 120,000 households; and IPROCEL had the opportunity to collaborate in this project.
