IPROCEL participated in the commissioning of the Mesaieed 400/132 kV power substation in Qatar, a key infrastructure linked to the Mesaieed combined cycle plant, with an installed capacity of over 2,000 MW. This substation, one of the largest and most advanced in the country, plays a fundamental role in the transmission and distribution of electricity to ensure the stability and efficiency of the national grid.
The scope of work included:
- Verification and validation of high voltage electrical systems, including 400 kV and 132 kV GIS circuit breakers.
- Functional testing of associated protection, control and measurement systems.
- Integration and implementation of the fibre optic communication systems with the National Control Centre.
-Coordination with the customer and other stakeholders to ensure safe commissioning in accordance with technical and regulatory standards.
With this action, IPROCEL reinforced its experience in complex transmission and distribution projects at international level, consolidating its capacity to operate in demanding and strategic environments for the energy sector.
