IPROCEL carried out the commissioning of the Parnaíba 500/230 kV electrical substation in Brazil, a strategic infrastructure associated with the Parnaíba thermoelectric complex, with an installed capacity of over 1,900 MW. The scope of the works included:
- Verification and validation of high voltage electrical systems, including 500 kV and 230 kV AIS circuit breakers.
- Functional testing of associated protection, control and measurement systems.
- Synchronisation and commissioning tests of power transformers and capacitor banks.
- Protection coordination tests and final adjustments to automation and telecontrol systems to ensure safe and efficient integration with the electricity grid.
With this performance, IPROCEL reaffirmed its expertise in high-voltage transmission projects and continued to grow as a company in Brazil, one of the most promising markets in South America.
