Payita Electrical Substation

Scope of the project

IPROCEL is currently executing the EPC project for the Payita 138/34.5 kV - 60/70 MVA electrical substation in the Dominican Republic, in collaboration with Ecoener. This facility will allow the connection of new renewable generation to the country's electricity grid, helping to strengthen the energy infrastructure in the northern region.
During the development of the project, IPROCEL has coordinated with the national transmission grid operator, ETED, guaranteeing the technical and operational integration of the substation into the Dominican electricity system.
The scope of works includes:
- Detailed engineering of the substation and associated systems.
- Supply of main equipment: medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, protection and control systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Electromechanical assembly and connection in the field.
- FAT and SAT testing, coordination of protections and verification of the automation system (SAS).
This project marks a new milestone in IPROCEL's international expansion in the Caribbean, reaffirming its ability to develop complete EPC solutions in different regulatory and technical environments.
