Scope of the project

IPROCEL executed the EPC project for the Yolanda 69/34.5 kV - 60/70 MVA electrical substation, located in the department of Escuintla, Guatemala. The installation is associated with a 73.7 MWp / 61 MWac photovoltaic plant, whose renewable energy will be evacuated to the national grid, operated by TRELEC - EPM Guatemala, thus reinforcing the country's electrical infrastructure and contributing to the diversification of its energy matrix.
The scope of work has included:
- Detailed engineering of the substation and associated systems.
- Supply of main equipment: medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, protection and control systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Electromechanical assembly and connection in the field.
- FAT and SAT testing, coordination of protections and verification of the automation system (SAS).
With this project, IPROCEL was able to carry out its first complete EPC project in Guatemala for electrical substations, strengthening its role as a specialist company in the region.
